Static Security Guards

Professional Security Presence, When It Matters Most

When security requires more than technology alone, Savvy Security delivers trained, licensed professionals who provide a visible and effective presence on-site. Our static security officers protect construction sites, commercial properties, retail environments, warehouses, and corporate facilities across New Zealand.

Every officer holds a current Certificate of Approval (COA), wears a professional uniform, and operates in accordance with site-specific procedures tailored to your requirements. From access control and asset protection to incident response and customer interaction, our team is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times.

What a static guard covers on your site

Access control

Sign-in for staff, contractors and deliveries. Audit trail for every shift.

Reception & concierge

Front-of-house presence. Business attire on request rather than high-vis.

Internal & external patrols

Scheduled walks of perimeter and interior, logged through patrol tracking.

Theft & trespass deterrence

Visible uniformed presence that cuts opportunistic loss before it starts.

Incident response

First on scene if something goes wrong. Police liaison handled by the guard; you are notified.

Custom site procedures

A written site procedure covering your risks and escalation chain. Every guard reads it first.

Who hires us for static guarding

How a Savvy deployment runs

From first call to ongoing cover, every Savvy contract follows the same five-step playbook.

  1. Site risk assessment

We assess the site first, so the cover plan matches the actual risk, the duties involved, and the hours you need protected, not a generic template.

  2. Cover plan

A written cover plan setting out shift pattern, beat, escalation contacts and reporting, agreed with you before cover starts.

  3. Licensed officers assigned

Licensed, MOJ-vetted officers assigned to your site and briefed on your site procedure before their first shift.

  4. Reporting through Guardhouse

Patrols, callouts, and incidents logged in Guardhouse, with incident logs and daily reports delivered in the format that suits you.

  5. Ongoing review

We stay in contact through the contract and adjust cover if your site profile changes.

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide static security guards in Auckland?

Yes. Savvy Security provides static security guards across the wider Auckland region, including construction sites, retail stores, warehouses, offices and residential properties.

Can you provide 24/7 static guarding?

Yes. We can provide day, night, weekend, overnight and 24/7 static guarding depending on the site requirements.

Do you provide emergency static guard deployment?

Yes. In urban areas, emergency static guard deployment can typically be arranged within 30 to 45 minutes after job confirmation, depending on availability and location.

Do you publish pricing online?

No. Pricing depends on site risk, location, duties, hours and contract requirements. We provide customised quotes after reviewing your needs.

Can static guards be combined with mobile patrol or CCTV?

Yes, and it is often the most cost-effective answer. A static post at the gatehouse plus a mobile patrol route across the rest of the perimeter, or static cover plus alarm monitoring overnight, costs less than full static cover on every point and gives better coverage.

Are your guards trained beyond the basic Certificate of Approval?

Yes. Every guard holds a current COA and is MOJ vetted. Additional training runs through Pop Training in conflict management, de-escalation and first aid. Site-specific induction is completed before the first shift, with the post order written for your site.
